The MA in interdisciplinary studies requires a minimum of 30 s.h. of graduate credit. Students accepted to the MA in interdisciplinary studies may work with the Graduate College to include a self-defined subprogram as part of the new degree title. The self-defined subprogram is a tailored and topical subtitle for the MA in interdisciplinary studies and typically defines the focus of the students' courses and/or scholarship.
A final exam may be required. Students have the option to complete a thesis. Coursework is approved by the student's advisory committee and must be numbered 3000 or above.
