Students from all disciplinary backgrounds can benefit from understanding the fundamentals and applications of artificial intelligence (AI). Courses from multiple departments provide students with course options that cover a range of AI-related topics, some technical in nature and others focused on human interaction with AI and the impact of AI on human endeavors. With the knowledge and tools to survive and thrive in an AI world, students can amplify their potential while learning how to responsibly use AI.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the undergraduate Certificate in Artificial Intelligence, students will be able to:

  • understand AI fundamentals;
  • apply AI tools and techniques;
  • analyze the ethical and societal impacts of AI;
  • integrate AI into academic and professional workflows; and
  • explain interdisciplinary applications of AI.
