Art History, Minor
The undergraduate minor in art history requires a minimum of 15 s.h. in art history courses, including 12 s.h. earned in advanced courses taken at the University of Iowa. Art history courses (prefix ARTH) numbered 2000 or above are considered advanced for the minor. Students must maintain a grade-point average of at least 2.00 in all courses for the minor and in all UI courses for the minor. Coursework in the minor may not be taken pass/nonpass. CLAS minors may only be earned concurrent with or subsequent to earning a University of Iowa bachelor's degree. They cannot be granted as standalone credentials or as the sole program of study completed at the University of Iowa.
Students earning a major in art and a minor in art history may count one art history course required for the art major toward the requirements for the art history minor. Students must consult with their advisors.
The minor in art history must include one survey course chosen from the following list.

|---|---|---|
| One of these: | ||
| ARTH:1030 | Themes in Global Art | 3 |
