Students admitted to graduate study in biochemistry usually pursue the Doctor of Philosophy.

The Master of Science program in biochemistry requires a minimum of 30 s.h. of graduate credit, thesis research, and a thesis. See the Ph.D. in biochemistry in this section of the Catalog for information about the graduate curriculum.

Most graduate students in biochemistry work toward a Doctor of Philosophy. Applicants who wish to earn a master's degree must contact the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology before they apply.
