The Certificate in Media Entrepreneurialism requires a minimum of 27 s.h. of course work. The certificate may be earned by any student admitted to the University of Iowa who is not concurrently enrolled in a graduate or professional degree program. Students must maintain a g.p.a. of at least 2.00 in work for the certificate. Certificate courses may not be taken pass/nonpass.

Students majoring in journalism and mass communication or communication studies may earn the certificate but may not count it as their second area of concentration. Students may not double count more than 6 s.h. of the certificate toward other programs of study.
