The undergraduate minor in international studies requires a minimum of 15 s.h. in courses approved for the international studies major (see Requirements for the B.A. in international studies), including 12 s.h. in courses numbered 2000-4999 taken at the University of Iowa. The minor must include IS:2000 Introduction to International Studies or one of the courses listed under "Foundation Courses" below.
Students must maintain a g.p.a. of at least 2.00 in all courses for the minor and in all UI courses for the minor. Course work in the minor may not be taken pass/nonpass. Students may count a maximum of 6 s.h. from a single department or program, from the Tippie College of Business, or from a major, another minor, or a certificate toward the minor in international studies.
